Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite well-known. She was raised by her mother and her father, in USA. Her childhood was filled with racist insults, she was felt unloved. In the 9th grade, she felt more comfortable after she was praised by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams transformed. In the year 22 she received her degree from in the Julliard School of New York. She started her professional journey when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just her the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. She gained more recognition by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a professional singer She has also recorded one single and an extensive work. In addition, she's an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
