Many times, he took home the Heavyweight title. Johnson was later able to turn his wrestler popularity into a film professional. The year 2001 saw The Mummy Returns was released and in 2010, Tooth Fairy. Some of his more recent projects were the HBO Series Ballers. Additionally, he played prominently in Fast & Furious series and Jumanji. Finally, he voiced Maui in Disney film Moana. Johnson was born on 2 May 1972 in the city of Hayward in California. Rocky Johnson, the professional wrestler's son, and Ata Johnson, his mother are the parents. Peter Maivia was his maternal great-grandfather, and he ascended to fame as a High Chief in the professional world of wrestling throughout the 1960s and the 1970s. Johnson was together with his father and mother for a good deal of his childhood, watching him wrestle. Johnson began playing football during his high school years and he soon obtained a full scholarship to the University of Miami where he excelled. Johnson graduated with a bachelor in General Studies (criminology and biology) in the same year.
